Born in England, lived in B.C. and in Ottawa, Ontario while growing up.
Co-wrote 16 songs for Fraggle Rock.
He is married to a writer of children’s literature.
Wrote 12 plays for CBC radio.
Won Governor General’s Award twice, Won Canadian Library Assoc. Children’s Book Award
three times and their Juvenile Award once, Vicky Metcalf Award.
Currently lives in Perth, Ontario on 76 acres with his wife and children.
