Did you know:
Born in Texas in 1928.
Married Richard Lunn and had five children.
Became a Canadian Citizen in 1963.
Wrote her first book, Double Spell, in 1968.
Became the first children’s author to chair the Writer’s Union of Canada.
Awarded the Vicky Metcalf Award in 1982.
Received the Order of Ontario in 1996.
In 1997 she was made a member of the Order of Canada.
